Whole Wheat Popovers

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 35 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 9
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup skim milk
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted margarine, melted
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • vegetable oil cooking spray

Recipe

  • 1 place eggs and milk in container of an electric blender; process until bubbly. add flour, margarine, and salt; process until smooth.
  • 2 place a muffin pan coated with cooking spray in a 450 degree oven 3 minutes or until very hot.
  • 3 spoon batter into muffin pan, filling two-thirds full.
  • 4 bake at 425°f for 20 minutes; reduce heat to 350°f, and bake 10 minutes.
  • 5 prick each popover with a fork to let steam.
  • 6 escape, and bake an additional 5 minutes.
