Maxine's Curry Pickle (a Sweet Pickle)

Ingredients
- 4 quarts sliced cucumbers
- 1 gallon water
- 7 tablespoons salt
- 3 pints apple cider vinegar
- 4 cups sugar
- 1 tablespoon celery seed
- 2 tablespoons mustard seeds
- 3 teaspoons curry powder
Recipe
- 1 soak cucumber slices in salt water overnight.
- 2 drain and rinse.
- 3 make a syrup of last 5 ingredients and bring to a boil.
- 4 put cucumbers into syrup and reduce heat to below boiling point.
- 5 stir constantly for 4 minutes.
- 6 place cucumbers in hot sterile jars.
- 7 bring liquid back to boiling point and pour into jars.
- 8 they will seal.
