Tomato Chutney

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 3
  • 2 roma tomatoes
  • 5 sambar onions
  • 2 tablespoons roasted gram dal
  • 4 round red chilies
  • 2 green chilies
  • 1/2 tablespoon ginger
  • 1/2 tablespoon garlic (optional)
  • 1/4 tablespoon tamarind paste
  • 1 tablespoon frozen coconut
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Recipe

  • 1 heat oil, add sambar onions and fry.
  • 2 add tomatoes and fry. keep this seperate.
  • 3 add roasted gram dal and red chillies. dry roast it. cool and grind to powder.
  • 4 grind tomato mixture, dalia powder and rest of ingredients in mixer.
