Syrian Rice

Ingredients

- 1 cup long grain rice
- vegetable oil
- 1/4 lb egg noodles
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1 tablespoon salt
Recipe
- 1 wash rice in water to remove all or most of the starch.
- 2 in a medium pot put some oil in bottom of pot and heat under medium high.
- 3 put 1/4 lbd of dry egg noodles in pot and mix constantly.
- 4 add salt to water and add to pot as soon as noodles change color from yellow to light tan.
- 5 bring to boil while stiring noodles into rice. when you can see noodle mixture through rice, cover pot and reduce heat to very low. rice will be ready in 20-30 minutes.
