Yucatan Pickled Red Onions

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 10
  • 2 red onions, in fine slices
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 5 big peppercorns
  • 5 small peppercorns
  • 2 laurel leaves (bay leaves)
  • 1 sprig thyme
  • 1 sprig marjoram
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil

Recipe

  • 1 sautee onion and garlic in cooking oil.
  • 2 add the spices and the herbs.
  • 3 pour vinegar into the mixture, and once it starts boiling, turn off heat.
  • 4 let cool before serving.
