Slow Cooked Green Beans

Ingredients

- 2 lbs fresh green beans
- 1 large yellow onion, diced
- 2 tablespoons salt (to taste)
- 2 tablespoons coarse black pepper (to taste)
- 1 cup bacon, pieces (pre-cooked, not bacon bits)
- water
Recipe
- 1 snap off green bean ends, then snap in half.
- 2 in large stock pot, add all ingredients, adding just enough water to cover green beans.
- 3 cover pot and simmer for about 2 hours. green beans are done when fork tender.
