Yorkshire Puddings

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 285 ml milk
  • 115 g plain flour (all-purpose)
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 pinch salt and pepper
  • vegetables or sunflower oil

Recipe

  • 1 whisk together the egg, flour, milk and seasoning until absolutely smooth and set aside for at least ten minutes.
  • 2 meanwhile, heat the oven to 250°c pour a little oil into each section of a muffin or cupcake tin (if making individual puds), so the bottom is covered a couple of millimetres deep.
  • 3 place the tray in the oven and heat until the oil is super hot.
  • 4 pour in enough batter to each hole to third-fill it, then place back in the oven immediately.
  • 5 very important: do not open the oven door again while they are cooking! cook for about 20 minutes, until crispy and puffy.
