Sweet And Sour Ribs

Total Time: 1 hr 10 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 2 packages lamb ribs, split individually
  • 2 teaspoons vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 green bell pepper, cut into chunks
  • 1 red bell pepper, cut into chunks
  • 1 large onion, cut into eighths
  • 1/4 cup ketchup

Recipe

  • 1 heat oil in a large wok over medium high heat and brown ribs-around 10 minutes.
  • 2 add the soy sauce and continue browning.
  • 3 add the vinegar and bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
  • 4 add brown sugar and simmer 10 minutes more.
  • 5 you might need a bit more vinegar at this point.
  • 6 you want the sauce thick but fluid.
  • 7 add the peppers and onions and cook for 5 minutes.
  • 8 add the ketchup and stir.
  • 9 taste and adjust the vinegar/brown sugar ratio.
  • 10 if needed add cornstarch to thicken.
