Yogurt Cheese

Ingredients

  • Servings: 16
  • 1 quart plain low-fat yogurt
  • 1 garlic clove, finely minced
  • 2 tablespoons minced parsley
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried tarragon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • crackers or vegetables

Recipe

  • 1 rinse a one foot length of cheesecloth in cold water and wring out. place yogurt in center, wrap cloth around it and set in strainer or colander in a bowl.
  • 2 refrigerate until thick, 8-14 hours. discard drained liquid and unwrap.
  • 3 mix yogurt and remaining ingredients; refrigerate several hours for flavors to blend.
