Ingredients

- 2 cups split peas, yellow
- 6 cups vegetable stock
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 carrot, chopped
- 1 turnip, chopped
- 1 parsnip, chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon marjoram, dried
- 1/4 teaspoon thyme, dried
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 onion, minced
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons flour
Recipe
- 1 cook split peas, vegetable stock, onion, carrot, turnip, parsnip, marjoram, thyme, and salt together.
- 2 cook for two hours; drain.
- 3 mash in blender.
- 4 fry minced onion in butter until lightly browned; add flour.
- 5 add to mashed vegetables.
- 6 beat until smooth.
