Wasabi And Green Onion Mashed Potatoes

Total Time: 45 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 3 lbs yukon gold potatoes, peeled, cut into 1 1/2-inch cubes
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 tablespoons wasabi paste
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 cup chopped green onion

Recipe

  • 1 bring potatoes to boil in large pot of water.
  • 2 reduce heat to medium; cook until tender, about 17 minutes. drain well.
  • 3 meanwhile, bring cream, butter, and wasabi paste to simmer in small saucepan over medium heat, stirring until butter melts.
  • 4 season with salt and pepper.
  • 5 keep hot.
  • 6 heat oil in small skillet over medium heat; add green onions and sauté until wilted, about 3 minutes.

  • 8 using potato masher or potato ricer in same large pot, mash potatoes.
  • 9 stir in hot cream mixture.
