Sweet Cornbread

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Recipe

  • 1 heat oven to 375.
  • 2 spray loaf or muffin pans.
  • 3 mix flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, salt and baking soda.
  • 4 make a well in the flour and whisk in buttermilk.
  • 5 mix oil, eggs and vanilla in a small bowl and add to the flour mixture.
  • 6 whisk just until moistened.
  • 7 can add fresh or frozen blueberries if desired.
  • 8 bake at 375 for 25-30 minutes.
