Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon orange rind, grated
- 3/4 cup vegetable shortening
- 1/3 cup cold water (or more)
Recipe
- 1 cut shortening into the flour, mixed with the salt sugar, and orange rind.
- 2 add just enough water for dough to form into a ball.
- 3 *make sure shortening is not soft as this is what adds to the flakiness of the crust.
