Beans With Oregano

Total Time: 27 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 22 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 small onion, chopped (1 cup)
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced (1 tbsp)
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 2 (15 ounce) cans cannellini beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 cup water
  • salt and pepper

Recipe

  • 1 heat oil in skillet over medium heat.
  • 2 add onion, saute for 5-7 minutes or until onion starts to brown.
  • 3 stir in garlic and oregano and cook for 30 seconds or until fragrant.
  • 4 add beans, water, salt and pepper.
  • 5 reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 15 minutes or until half f the liquid has evaporated.
