- 2 corn tortillas
- 2 cups vegetable oil (for frying)

Recipe
- 1 heat oil in a heavy stockpot to 350º f.
- 2 cut tortillas into 1/4-inch wide strips.
- 3 fry tortilla strips in hot oil until crisp and slightly golden, about 1 minute.
- 4 drain on paper towels and sprinkle with salt.
- 5 a great garnish for salads.
